Join us for Reflections Publishing’s first Inspirational Youth Leadership Conference for Teams and Families. During this conference, parents and children/coaches and players will learn tips and tools to help them to navigate through the difficult challenges of the Tween and Teen years.
To kick-off the conference, we are blessed to have Nationally-recognized Leadership and Team Building speaker, Lynda Cormier, to lay the groundwork with an inspirational message on how to be the best version of yourself. Colleen C. Ster, President/C.E.O of Reflections Publishing will then lead the group through a quick Communication Activity, to learn how you each have been individually gifted and to remember these personal strengths as venture off to your age-appropriate sessions.
Throughout the day, parents/children will travel with their age group (Gr. 3-6, Gr. 7-8, and Gr. 9-12)
and rotate through the following 3 Break-out Sessions:
-Finding Balance in Life between school, activities, family, and social life - Erica Rood, M.A.Ed.
-Learn quick/easy Study Skills along with benefits of healthy nutrition - Susan Van Zanten, M.A.Ed.
-Experience empowerment through Mindfulness - Debbie Zeichner, LCSW/Corie Wightlin, M.Ed.
2 Power Mini-Sessions: Choose between the following sessions:
-Financial Plan for Teens - Wells Fargo
-Music Therapy - Andrea and Reid Moriarty
-Peer Pressure/Friend Surfing/Changing Schools - Linda Sorkin, M.A., LMFT, RYT
-Spiritual Practices - Paula Mazza, One Youth
Coaches attending with their players and parents will travel through the following rotations:
(We still encourage Players to attend with a Parent to receive the full benefits of the conference.)
-Finding that Balance in Life between school, activities, family, and social life - Erica Rood, M.A.Ed.
-Experience empowerment through Mindfulness - Debbie Zeichner, LCSW/Corie Wightlin, M.Ed.
-Leadership and Team Building Foundation for Teams - Lynda Cormier
During morning Check-in, you will receive raffle tickets to win over $1,000 in prizes. Reflections Publishing’s Service Squad and Teen Advisory Board will be distributing raffle tickets when conference attendees bring the following items when they Check-in at the conference.

These items will be packaged at the event and distributed to the following philanthropies:

During lunch, you will enjoy singer/song-writer, Reid Moriarty, with his originally-written song “Shine” as you eat your nutrition-packed lunch. Next, Conference Attendees will be able to ask the RP Experts and Teen Advisory Board questions about going off to middle school, high school classes, the college application process, etc. After attendees attend “Break-out Session #3,” they will gather back in Debin Hall to work with Expressive Art Therapist, Natalie Cruz, M.A., The Dancing Canvas.
The conference will then conclude with Key Note speaker, Lynda Cormier, and you will be given time to connect with the Conference Expert and additional Reflections Publishing’s Experts.
Lastly, please consider “Sponsoring-a-Child” or family to attend the event from the San Diego Rescue Mission and San Pasqual Academy.
